The Land of Ice is a small land area on the border between Turchi and the Land of Shadows by the Dragon Sea. The area got its name because it is always covered with ice. No one knows why, and few know much about the country, as the ones who enter it seldom come back.
There are still speculations about what may be found in the country, and stories by the few who returned have been thoroughly studied. In these writings you regularly find references to Great Magic, and the country is often seen as a product of this. Therefore one theory is that a great magician dwells here. However this theory is habitually forsaken, as it is impossible for a Man to live forever. Still one order of monks, the Children of the Spirit, believes in this theory, as they sincerely believe Men may have eternal life.
Other theories lean against the fact that the country was formed by some kind of elf- or dragonmagic, and preferably the latter. Some vow that there have been spotted dragons in the sky here, and many within the Order of the Dragon deem the country holy.
Nonetheless the biggest theory is that the land is through and through desecrated by evil, since it is written that the Spirit has been twisted unnaturally. All the same many have written that “the Spirit had been restrained” and that “the fear that they should see my thoughts was greater than the courage to escape”. Who “they” are was never exposed.
But still, what everyone agrees about is that the Land of Ice is no place for ordinary people.
